SUNRISE DAY CAMP is situated on the expansive, tree-lined 300+ acre Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds, right here in Wheatley Heights, just minutes from the Nassau-Suffolk Border. The campgrounds boast one of the largest private swim complexes in the world, and miles of wooded, tree lined recreational areas.

Private indoor air-cooled shelters and log cabins complement our outdoor open-air shelters, wooded campsites, lush ball fields, universally accessible treehouse, and sports courts.

SUNRISE DAY CAMP truly rivals the best sleep-away camps, yet unlike sleep-away camps, we can provide a true camping experience while maintaining our children in the familiar surroundings of home, family, and the treatment centers they have become accustomed to. If a child already attends a sleep-away program for a week or two, SUNRISE can fill in the gaps for the balance of the summer
